These performances are part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of The Rutles taking place on Monday, March 17 at the American Cinematheque's Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. On that night the Mods & Rockers Film Festival is presenting two special screenings of "All You Need is Cash" (the 1978 film) - with Rutle rarities and Q&A with the Rutles. (For more information visit: www.ModsAndRockers.com) Dirk McQuickly said, "Finally -- nostalgia for things that lasted lunchtime - with Mersey Boys, real girls, singing and dancing, and exotic tea drinking! I am sure this is soon to be a major lawsuit - and I suggest you hurry and buy a ticket so you can see it before it stops." The Rutles were first immortalized on screen by Dirk McQuickly and Saturday Night Live Lorne Michaels in the 1978 Classic rutlumentary "All You Need is Cash" (available on DVD from Broadway Video) and re-immortalized in the sequel, "Can't Buy Me Lunch." These groundbreaking films began an entire genre of rutlumentary filmmaking. RUTLEMANIA! The semi-spectacular TRIBUTE CONCERT is produced by WestBeth Entertainment, which has been producing, presenting and promoting entertainment events for 30 years and is the premiere promoters of UK comedy in the United States.
