Archaeology Single Released
The Rutles' Shangri-La CD5 single was released last monday,
including the CD version of Joe Public and two unreleased bonus tracks.
Here is a description of the two bonus tracks from the CD5's
liner notes:
-
Baby S'il Vous Plait (Baby Let Me Be - French Version)
Performed live in front of an audience of surrealists at the Rene
Magritte Club in Belgium.
The entire audience was nude, covered in oil and pressed closely together
in a giant bath pretending to be sardines. Which is why you can't hear
them. But everyone enjoyed themselves.
It's Looking Good
One of the old rehearsal tapes that Ron found in his
shed. It's much faster than the previously-released version and features
Ollie Hallsal on guitar and vocals. Ollie may not have been the finest
guitarists in the world but he was among the top two.
Although the single has only been released in the UK, it is available
in the US as an import. The four song Shangri-La single is also available
on 10" vinyl.
